Why a Girls Club

Surf travel, minus the bro energy.

Solo female travelers kept telling us the same thing — the surf was great, the vibe wasn’t always. So we built a women-only corner of the house: women-led coaching, a table that saves you a seat, and people who actually live here looking out for you.

  • Women-led

    every session, every level

  • All levels

    first-timers genuinely welcome

  • Solo-friendly

    designed for arriving alone

The rhythm

A week, loosely.

Nothing's mandatory. This is just how the days tend to go.

  1. Day 1

    Arrive & settle

Airport pickup from Agadir, a rooftop welcome dinner, and your first Tamraght sunset.

  2. Days 2–5

    Surf & flow

Dawn yoga, mid-morning women-led surf, and open afternoons for napping, the souk, or more waves.

  3. Day 4

    The table

The weekly dinner with the local women's circle — the night everyone ends up talking about.

  4. Day 6

    Hammam & souk

The slow Moroccan reset: steam, scrub, mint tea, and a wander through Agadir.

  5. Day 7

    Long breakfast & goodbyes

Amlou, fresh msemen, a group photo, and a group chat that somehow keeps going.

What the club does.

  • Female dorms

Women-only rooms with ensuite bathrooms, lockers, and the good mirror.

  • Women-led surf

Sessions coached by women, scheduled around the club's own rhythm.

  • The weekly table

One dinner a week, locals and guests together. Come alone, leave with plans.

  • Local guides

Hammam trips, souk runs, and the addresses that aren't on Google Maps.

From women who came alone

You'll know within a day.

  • I booked for the surf and stayed for the women. Arrived solo, left with a group chat that still goes off.

    Lena · Berlin
  • First time on a board at 34. The coaches made it feel completely normal — no one was performing.

  • The weekly table is the whole thing. I've never felt so quickly at home somewhere new.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

  • Is it really women-only?

The Girls Club retreat and the female dorms are women-only. The wider hostel is mixed, but the club spaces, sessions, and the weekly table are yours.

  • I’ve never surfed. Is that ok?

More than ok — most guests are first-timers. Sessions are split by level, and the coaching is women-led and patient.

  • Travelling solo — will I feel out of place?

It's built for exactly that. The weekly table means no one eats alone, and you'll have a group within a day.

  • What should I pack?

Swimwear, sunscreen, and a refillable bottle. Boards, wetsuits, and yoga mats are all provided.

  • What’s the age range?

Mostly 20s to 40s, but all adults are welcome — easy company more than any particular age.

  • How do deposits and refunds work?

A 20% deposit holds your spot; the balance is due on arrival. Free date changes up to 30 days before — see booking conditions.
